Are we having fun yet? I just had a flash/bang go off. That was almost on top of the place… Closest NWS data. NWS Seattle Radar. Thunderstorms are a bit of a rarity around here. Although we do see some strong storms on occaision.
Back during the construction boom of the eighties, I had the opportunity to stand on the spot of the strike on the Washington Mutual Tower. Formerly known as “Block 5″, and then “1201 3rd Avenue”. The Space Needle is on the right.
