Hummingbirds 2017

Here are the photos I’ve captured of hummingbirds over the last couple of years. These little buggers are crazy fast, and even at shutter speeds over 1/1000 of a second, the wings are still a blur.

Bachmann Park Sunrise 101417

As I was doing my usual morning route around the town, this scene caught my eye. Fortunately, one of the Washington State Ferries happened by. This is kind of a longer exposure at 1.6 seconds which gives the ferry a bit of motion blur.

Manchester Beach 100817

This was particularly gray day in the Pacific Northwest. So black and white is the theme. The boat launch at Manchester Beach has a spectacular view of downtown Seattle. Truth be told, clouds are better than a bare sky. The water was much calmer than normal for an October day.
