The USS John C. Stennis arrived back home this afternoon, completing a cruise in the Pacific. As you can see it was an overcast, starting to rain kind of day. I had been scouting locations last summer for just such an event. However, due to the lack of good light, I headed down to Bachmann Park to capture the USS John C. Stennis as it traversed Sinclair Inlet. The other position overlooks Rich Passage, but that photo is sort of drab with the overcast skies. I should see if it would make a decent black and white.
